In the previous threads concerning characterslots on factions we got put off by the happy bunch that slots where not content in a similar way as access to the continent was. So why these people considered the loss of 2 slots when merged as a non issue contentwise spoken. And now when we disagree these same people that previously stated this state now that characterslots are in fact content... please make up your minds... since it can't be both. If it isn't content then the equation of 4*10 + access to cantha = 50 is complete and utter bunk, since if we would consider that reasoning it would in my view be more something along the lines of: 4 *2.5 + access to cantha + new skills = 50. Although we could even discuss the number 50 seeing that i can easilly buy it already for less then 40 bucks... (see the tesco thread, or check some other online shops) which would value the access to cantha to a negative value comparatively speaking. And if it is content, then you will have to agree that with the merger we did get the shaft. in any case, its a win win situation in any case for me, seeing you guys will have to admit to be wrong at least once

Timeline for buyable character slots is sometime in Summer.

I assume the Item Aggro "bug" will be fixed before Factions is released, so Ritualists will be able to play as normal characters.

Yes, but complaining over the monetary difference between a character slot that you only have to buy ONCE, and whatever else your going to use the 4-5 bucks else to do, what is the better option? I don't find 10 dollars disagreeable at all. You pay 40 for 4 slots, and 10 per. Makes sense to me. I'll do it, and I'm poor as hell already...But I need the slots, don't feel like shelling out for an extra account, and this way I can swap my items in between characters without having my guildies store 'em for me. It's a win-win for both us and Anet. People just like to complain.

Allright, ignoring whatever you may think about the 4+4=6 deal...

Lets say you want more slots, you have two options:
Buy 2x accounts, which would cost 50x4=$200 for 12 slots if you're getting factions. And they're not even linked.

Or you could buy more slots: 50x2+6x10=$160 for 12 slots And you get the benifit of having linked storage faction and fame. Of course most people won't go ahead and purchase 6 slots, so it's like having the option to buy half a game.

If I feel I don't have enough slots, I could spend $200 and not have linked accounts. Or I could spend $130-$160 and have them all on one linked account.

If chapter3 adds two more chars, and two more slots, then it'll look even better. $10 is a little less than I expected per slot personaly, I love the idea.

Interesting pricing theories:

1.
Faction is priced $49.99, which makes it like a brand new first tie game like GW:Prophecies was. Well, it carries over a lot of stuff from Prophecies. I will have to spend about $20-$25 worth of value for "copy-paste lines of codes work"

2.
$10 for a character slot, $40=4 character slots. So all the Cantha, pvp contents and other stuff worth $9.99 only. I wish I had choice to pay $9.99 for Factions without extra character slot.

<- Content with 6 mergeds slots. They only promised 1 from the start, gave us 2.
<- Content with $10 slots. Seems fair price and a requested feature.

I'm happy with both and don't feel we got the shaft.

Storage is mute point due to soon changes on how things are stored to end up giving us more room w/o needing to buy anything and it will be free to all C1 and C2 owners.

Anet is like blizz we NEED^^ money more money... what we ll do who have 2 acc, dam why they didint tell this before, i'm totaly disapointed what they done to ppl who have 2 acc or more acc.

I have no problems personally with the $10 per slot, but if those who have purchased both Factions and Prophecies don't get 8 slots out of the gate, they're getting ripped off.

You forgot to subtract the amount for the fact that your 4 existing characters also have access to cantha, and the 4 new ones have access to tyria.

Wow, you guys just like to complain don't you? Kinda sad really.

$10 for another slot is fair. I will buy 2 so I have 1 slot per primary profession and that is enough for me. Other people will buy as many as they can for extra storage/mules. We will have to wait and see when it is implemented if they will impose a limit - although it seems likely there will be, how many can you fit on one screen?
